The kitchen island is a workhorse, providing extra counter space and hidden storage. Even double islands are on the rise when space permits.

Hardware

The trend is shiny, gold is here to stay. Also, the trend is mixing metals, anything-goes from dark grays or rose gold and brushed nickel.

A white kitchen never goes out of style but the new trend these days is to give it a strong pop of color. Blue has become the go-to accent color. All shades of blue weather it is navy, royal or dusty blue, the pairing is a an undeniable hit.

You know those little desks they built into kitchens about 10 to 20 years ago? Connecting With The Great Outdoors

Connecting the kitchen to an outdoor space or patio is a new trend. Adding entry points from the kitchen to outside entertainment areas. Installing a glass door in your kitchen, you can easily connect these two spaces in your home. The other thing that is being done a lot lately is removing the existing small window by the sink and installing 5-6 foot wide windows.
